Q: Where did Jidenna spend his weekend?
A: Enugu!
'Classic Human' and Wondaland music awareness Jidenna arrived in Enugu on Fri. On tour to promote his forthcoming anthology 'Long Alive the Primary', he flew into Enugu, the metropolis of his childhood.
There was a meet-and-greet at Urban Radio 94.v Fm, where he got to collaborate with fans. He was hosted on air by Osarogie, Radio's Big Brother. Afterwards the on-air session, he sabbatum downwards for a press conference and took questions from different media houses, including Click042 reps @Aruby_k and @Steppino45.
Jidenna told us that he believes in the power of music to make social change. He was also of the opinion that we need to develop our infrastructure and maintain high standards in our bookish institutions. He mentioned plans of launching a special scholarship programme in honour of his father, Oliver Mobisson.
He too spoke against racism and the demand to restructure society and remove the stigma that often comes with being of African descent.
